Hi there,
Meet Toby Love, my almost 4 year old chihuahua. He's the sweetest - most well behaved chihuahua you will ever meet. He loves to go for walks, sit in your lap while you watch a movie, and play with his toys. If you like to run, he's also a fantastic jogging partner. He isn't a yappy kind of dog, he only barks when he senses danger. When we go for walks he ignores other dogs, and doesn't pull on his leash. He responds to, "Toby don't pull," "Toby stop," "Toby hush," "Toby sit," "Toby come,"? to name a few.
Toby loves to play fetch, but is not so good at bringing the toys back to you, he prefers to be chased. When its time for bed or time to relax, he likes to sleep in his crate. He's gone in there many times and just shut the door himself when he didn't want to be bothered -- Like when my 8 mo. old baby would chase him in his walker. He's not an aggressive dog, he has been very good to my new baby and my young niece and nephew... He tends to avoid children he doesn't know well.
Toby is completely potty trained. We take him out about every 3 to 4 hours, and he goes in the grass/pine straw. He responds to "Toby go potty." He's been to all of our relatives houses and friends houses and has never forgotten his house rules, so I'm sure he will be fine in your house too!
Toby is not neutered since I was afraid this would cause him to become less athletic. He's already a very calm dog, but when he meets some one new he tends to do a "submissive pee" without realizing it. I've heard this can be corrected if he was neutered.
Toby is up to date on all of his vaccinations, and has been given monthly doses of heart guard and flee prevention medicine. He is completely healthy. His weight is 7.5 lbs.
My husband and I will be deploying soon since my husband recently enlisted into the US Army. We really need to find a loving home for Toby to go to. If you have any questions at all and are considering adopting Toby please don't hesitate to ask me.
Thank you so much,
Mary
